Support Consciousness Research

Join us in pioneering the future of consciousness science and sentient flourishing

Our Impact in 2024

A transformative year of groundbreaking research and community building

38

HEART Research Publications

We published our first pilot studies on ayahuasca in Brazil and 5-MeO-DMT in Canada where we accomplished years of traditional progress in just 6 weeks
5

Peer-reviewed papers

Two papers published and three under review in leading academic journals, advancing theories in consciousness science and valence research
3

Major conference presentations

Presented at TSC 2024 in Tucson, ASSC27 in Tokyo, and PhilaDelic 2024, sharing our solution to the binding problem and introducing our coupling kernels paradigm
8

Qualia research tools

Released tools for Coupling Kernels, 4D Rotations, Gestalt Detection, and Fractal Recursive Coherence, with 4 more tools in development that interface with consciousness in novel ways
16

Global meetups

Official QRI meetups in Mexico City, Austin, Berlin, and Stockholm, plus 12 community-led gatherings
10+

Team expansion

Welcomed Roger Thisdell and Wystan Bryant-Scott to our Board of Advisors.

Pioneering the Science of Consciousness

Mapping the mathematical structure of consciousness by studying qualia.

Consciousness Researchers

What makes QRI unique is our integration of mathematical rigor with systematic investigation of altered states. While others study consciousness through behavior or neural correlates alone, we're developing formal theories of how consciousness itself is structured, enabling research into the mathematical and physical foundations of experience through systematic first-person investigation.

Support Our Research

Our Mission

  • Develop a precise mathematical language for describing subjective experience
  • Understand the nature of emotional valence (happiness and suffering)
  • Map out the full space of possible conscious experiences
  • Build technologies to improve the lives of sentient beings
