Support Consciousness Research

Join us in pioneering the future of consciousness science and sentient flourishing by mapping the mathematical structure of experience through the study of qualia.

We are on a mission to:

  • Develop a precise mathematical language for describing subjective experience
  • Understand the nature of emotional valence (happiness and suffering)
  • Map out the full space of possible conscious experiences
  • Build technologies to improve the lives of sentient beings

What makes QRI unique is our integration of mathematical rigor with systematic investigation of altered states. While others study consciousness through behavior or neural correlates alone, we're developing formal theories of how consciousness itself is structured, enabling research into the mathematical and physical foundations of experience through systematic first-person investigation.

2026 Research Initiatives

(with Nov 2025 Launch Milestones)

Non-linear Optical Indra's Net Experiments
We are acquiring specialized hardware to validate the theory that the brain operates as a non-linear optical computer. By probing for specific optical artifacts like refraction, diffraction, polarization, and second-harmonic generation within the psychedelic experience, we aim to identify the physical signatures of consciousness.

Reservoir Computing Lab
We are leveraging Reservoir Computing to model the complex rhythms of the brain. This powers our Tactile Visualizer, translating internal sensations into visible patterns. This lays the foundation for Personalized Harmonic Retuning to "tune" bodily systems toward well-being.

Oscilleditor
Our flagship replication tool, built on coupled oscillators to simulate visual hallucinations. We are evolving this into a platform where users can submit and share replication parameters to build a "Hall of Fame" of mathematically modeled phenomenology.

HEART Tryptamine Retreats 2026
Planning two distinct legal research retreats. A DMT retreat targeting physics/math specialists for non-linear optical artifacts, and a 5-MeO-DMT retreat focusing on valence enhancement and awakening mechanisms.

Replication Social Network
Building a community platform for hosting and sharing replications. A "Hall of Fame" for the most accurate depictions, allowing us to crowd-source data to train projective intelligence models and validate theories.
$0 raised Goal: $50,000
Valence Conference
Organizing "The Universe Is All You Need" conference in Nov 2026. Unifying our work on reservoir computing, replication tools, and retreat datasets.

ClusterFree
Cluster headache ("suicide headache") is often considered the most painful medical condition. Patients rate it as significantly more painful than childbirth, kidney stones, gunshot wounds, and bone fractures. Standard painkillers don't help. About 50% of all patients have contemplated suicide. Psychedelics like psilocybin, LSD, and DMT have shown promise in treating cluster headache pain, with 70–80% of surveyed users reporting significant relief. Some patients even achieve complete remission. However, only a tiny minority of patients have access to these life-saving treatments. ClusterFree is accelerating access to psychedelic therapies for cluster headache patients worldwide.
